Gonzalo was born in 1980 in the city of Mendoza, at the foot of the Andes range. After graduating from Liceo Agrícola y Enológico (High School of Agriculture and Winemaking), under the control of Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (National University of Cuyo), he completed his university studies with a degree in Winemaking at Facultad Don Bosco. From an early age, he showed interest in Winemaking. At the age of 18, while he was working as an intern, he had the first contact with the world of wine. Since then, he has worked in different wineries in Mendoza, Spain, France and Australia. He started working with this company in 2002 as a temporary technician at Terrazas de los Andes. Then, in 2008, he was included in the technical team of Chandon Argentina as the winemaker in charge of Research and Development. There, he had the opportunity to enhance his creativity and improve his know-how, especially in sparkling wines. During the past three years, he has been part of the technical team of Bodega Numanthia (Spain) supporting the group at harvest time. Today, Gonzalo Carrasco is the winemaker coordinator of the team at Terrazas of the Andes, in charge of winemaking and communication among the different lines of Terrazas.
